Depending on where you are in the world, it’s that time of year again! The weather is somewhere between freezing, confused and super hot all in one week (or sometimes day). I’ve spent extra time each day finding transitional pieces I can incorporate into my look. Here are a few transitional spring wardrobe items you need in your closet.
The Transitional Duster
I love a great duster for a transitional spring wardrobe item. This piece from Express is super versatile that can be worn many different ways. I had a tank top on underneath it in the picture above. The weather was in the 60’s, so it was perfect for a night out.
This item can be worn to work or to play on the weekends. It’s very easy to dress up or down no matter what the occasion is.
The Jumpsuit
Jumpsuits are one of my absolute favorite transitional spring wardrobe items. Whether they’re sleeveless or long sleeves, they provide enough coverage for changing weather. If they’re sleeveless like the one in the picture above from Vici, you can easily throw on a cardigan when the weather cools down.
Jumpsuits are different from rompers because they aren’t shorts, they are pant outfits.
Strappy Heels for Spring
I wish I could wear strappy heels all year round. Heels with an ankle strap are so flattering for your legs. The most popular style right now have a strap over your toes and one around the ankle. Thinner straps are in this year, as opposed to the thicker version last year.
High Rise Jeans
I must admit, it took me forever to jump on this bandwagon, I couldn’t help but think of mom jeans from the 90’s. I have now fully committed to the style for multiple reasons. While they’re high rise, they aren’t as poorly styled like mom jeans from the 90’s. They actually have a very slimming effect on the body. They also accentuate curves in all the right places!
