Coloring books used to be viewed as something for children only but in recent times they’ve become wildly popular for people of all ages. The mental health benefits they provide for people to slow down in a world full of digital media have become increasingly important. Recently, I found Multiverse Mania, a coloring book by Diego Llamacorn that helps you unlock your best life. Here, I’ll share the incredible impact it’s had on my mental health and why coloring in it is a must!
Up first, why color?
Coloring is a uniquely personal way to channel your inner artist and express your creative side. While doing so, it helps destress and bring balance and peace back into your life. The intense focus it takes to color forces all other digital and life distractions out. It completely refocuses your attention and provides an opportunity to slow down. The act of coloring essentially takes us outside of our minds and bodies the same way other relaxing activities do.
Coloring requires your attention to be focused outwards and not on everything that’s stressing you out within yourself. It brings you back into the present moment by focusing on the single act of coloring, much like when you’re focused deep in meditation. Coloring is a powerful way to relax your brain because it requires so little of everything else going on in your life causing stressors.
Coloring is also helpful because it’s not an activity that requires a high amount of pressure or strict guidelines. You have complete freedom to color exactly how you’d like, with whatever colors you’d like, no matter if you stay in or outside the lines.
My experience with the incredible Multiverse Mania Coloring Book
Coloring has always been a favorite pastime of mine, especially for my mental health. I am an Enneagram type Seven, which is also known as The Enthusiast, who likes adventure and not sitting still. I find it hard to slow myself down and focus on much needed time to reset and relax for my mental health. I’ve learned over time though that staying busy all the time isn’t healthy for anyone and can have negative impacts on your mental health.
One of the best products I’ve found is the Multiverse Mania coloring book. It’s literally a coloring book with inspirational and motivational quotes that are great for mental health. I love that it’s made for anyone at any age. I personally bought the coloring book for myself but am going to purchase it for both of my children as well. When I was a child, we didn’t have anything like this product around and we all certainly could have used it.
The Multiverse Mania coloring book has a combination of coloring pages with inspirational quotes as well as prompted pages where you can journal whatever is on your mind. It’s a great combination of activities that promote positive mental health. It encourages self-initiative as well as guides you on how to unlock your best life.
I felt so passionate about this coloring book I had to share my review with the world in hopes others would seek benefit from it as well. It’s SUPER affordable at only $9 and you can buy it directly from Amazon, so you’ll have it in no time! What’s even more incredible is this company cares so much about mental health, they offer free downloadable coloring pages on their Facebook page as well.
