St Tropez Sunless Tanner
As summer winds down, and tan lines start to fade, many of us are left wondering how we’ll keep that golden glow. Are you on a mission for a new sunless tanner? A deep, dark bronze? I can help you! I’m here to give you a St Tropez sunless tanner Review! While I love and use Loving Tan and other sunless tanning products, I switch it up every once in a while to dark bronzing mousse just for the sake of using something different.
St Tropez Ultra Dark Bronzing Mousse
The sunless tanner product I love the most from St Tropez’s line is their Extra Dark bronzing mousse. I’ve tried a similar product of theirs in a lotion before but didn’t like as much. The lotion was very sticky and never felt dry until I rinsed it off in the shower after developing.
After using the lotion I jumped on YouTube and watched some before and after videos of the best sunless tanners, sure enough the mousse kept popping up. Did you read my post about Ulta? I’m sure you can guess my next move was to head to my local Ulta to purchase the mousse, it was $45 before tax. Sometimes, you can also find this product on Amazon for less but I wanted to check it out at the store AND have an excuse to go there! Because who doesn’t love that?
St Tropez sunless tanner application
Applying sunless tanner can be tricky but it doesn’t have to be! I also bought a sunless tanner mitt and some gloves for the application. The only downfall of this vs something like Fake Bake is that it didn’t already come with these items for application. The Fake Bakes mitt is one of the best!
Pro tip:
I put the tanner on right before bed and layer clothes on so I didn’t mess up the sheets. If you’re an avid sunless tanner like I am, you’re bound to see a little orange on your sheets after awhile, so stay cautious of that.
Make sure you wear gloves and use a mitt. First, put lotion on your face then squeeze one small pump for your face, two pumps for each arm and three to four for each leg. Just use your best judgement for your body.
After you cover your body take one glove off at a time and carefully cover the outside of your hands and fingers. I like to use a makeup brush to do this. The St Tropez sunless tanner has a color guide so it comes out super dark to show you where you’ve covered on your body.
In summary
You’ll probably feel like you look a little crazy after the St Tropez sunless tanner is on but the guide will rinse off in the shower the next morning to reveal a nice dark tan.
Note: it’ll look like all of your tan is rinsing off in the shower but it’s not, just the guide.
To my surprise I LOVED the color, smell and feel of the mousse after the very first application! I was hooked. The smell is probably the best part, it’s very tropical as you can imagine with it being titled St Tropez. The color lasts a lot longer than other tanners I’ve used, it remained for three – five days. I definitely recommend this product and continue to use it in cycles.
What about you? Have you tried this brand or product? What sunless tanners do you use? I am always looking for good suggestions!
